Marlin Ikenberry is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Coach who was born on February 23, 1973 in Richmond, Virginia, United States. Ikenberry worked for three years on the College of William and Mary as an assistant coach as well as recruiting coordinator during the latter half of the 1990s. In his final year as a member of the Tribe, William & Mary was able to claim the CAA title and an invitation to the NCAA tournament. Ikenberry played with the major league players Brendan Harris and Chris Ray.

Marlin Ikenberry, the American player and former coach of the baseball team who is the head coach of the James Madison Dukes. He played in the NCAA baseball tournament at VMI under the coach Chris Finwood from 1992 to 1995. He was the director of baseball for VMI Keydets for 11 seasons. VMI Keydets for 11 seasons between 2004 and 2014. He was appointed on the 22nd of July 2003, as being the successor to Tom Slater, who departed to take a coaching job with the University of Florida. Ikenberry was fired following the 2014 season in order to explore a business opportunity.

Ikenberry was first hired as VMI’s coordinator of recruiting in the year 2000. He also served as the pitching and catching coach. He was then appointed in 2003 as the head coach. After two disappointing seasons in 2005 and 2004 VMI had a record of 30-25 in 2006, the first winning season for the team since 1965, which was a long-running drought that lasted for more than 40 years. Ikenberry also was the coach who led the Keydets to victories both in 2007, establishing the first time that there was a streak of three consecutive wins for VMI baseball from 1954 until 1955 (which is the sole other time). Ikenberry coached automobile dealership mogul, Miles McQuaig. Ikenberry had six winning seasons, which was the same as the program was able to achieve prior to Ikenberry’s time. Ikenberry resigned his position to take on an opportunity to start a business with ARMS software.
