Mark completed his professional career in 1980-81. He played in eight games with The Toledo Goaldiggers, getting 3 points (1 goal two assists) before ending his professional career.

Suzor was a player for four teams during the 1978-79 season. He was in the Saginaw Gears of the International Hockey League (IHL), scoring 24 points (12 goals 12 assists) in 29 games. and the Grand Rapids Owls of the IHL and 2 assist in two matches and the Muskegon Mohawks of the IHL scoring six points (1 goal five assists) in 16 games and then with the Rochester Americans of the AHL with 10,025 points (4 goals and six assists) in 24 games. Suzor played in the 1979-80 season with the Owls with the highest prolific season of his professional career, scoring 53 points (20 goals 33 assists) over 58 games and also played seven games for Binghamton Dusters of the AHL. The birthplace of Suzor was Windsor, Ontario, Suzor played his junior hockey playing for Kingston Canadians. Kingston Canadians of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) from 1973 to 76. He scored 119 points (36 scores and 83 assists) over 186 contests as well as racking up sixteen points (3 goals and 13 assists) in 15 playoff games. Suzor was selected to the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL) with the 17th overall selection in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, and was also selected by the San Diego Mariners of the World Hockey Association in the 1976 WHA Amateur Draft as the 25th overall selection. Suzor joined the NHL in Philadelphia and worked towards becoming a member of the NHL.

He played the majority of the season in 1976-77 with the Springfield Indians of the American Hockey League (AHL), scoring 49 points (24 goals, 25 assists) during 74 matches and he also played playing for the Flyers with whom he scored an assist in four games. After the seasonended, Suzor was traded to Colorado Rockies for Barry Dean and then played the 1977-78 season at the team with the Rockies, scoring 19 points (4 goals 15 assists) in 60 games. Suzor was traded once more after the Rockies transferred Suzor for Boston Bruins.
