Zagrapan signed a try-out contract with Graz 99ers, Austrian Hockey League (EBEL), on September 20, 2014. Zagrapan’s performance with Graz earned him a one-year contract. He scored 9 goals and had 30 points in 51 games.
Zagrapan, who was a professional hockey player in Europe, returned to Europe on 29 May 2009. He cited a lack of opportunities with the Sabres because of his low scoring output. He signed a three-year contract with Severstal Cherepovets, Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

The Buffalo Sabres drafted Zagrapan in the 13th round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. After two seasons playing in the Czech Extraliga (HC Zlin), Zagrapan was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in round 13 of 2005’s NHL Entry Draft. This was after HC Zlin won the Czech championship in 2004. After that, he played two seasons with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Zagrapan signed an entry level contract with Buffalo on 12 September 2006. He spent the 2006-07 season with the Buffalo Sabres and the 2007-08 season with the Rochester Americans, their American Hockey League (AHL). Zagrapan spent the 2008-09 season at the Portland Pirates, an affiliate of the Sabres.
On 13 July 2015, Zagrapan left Graz as a free agent for League rivals Dornbirner EC.
