Grant directed, wrote and produced three more feature films: Just Ines (2010), Coffee Sex You (2014), and Open My Eyes (2016). Just Ines, starring Caroline Ducey (French actress), was first shown at the Mannheim–Heidelberg International Film Festival (2009). It was then screened at FEST Belgrade, Serbia and the Cairo International Film Festival. Open My Eyes, which starred Oliver Tobias, Alissa Jung and was first shown in 2016. Grant also directed Electric Cinema’s How To Behave which starred Nigella Lawson and James Corden.

In 2004, Grant quit Thompson Holdings to be an independent filmmaker. He also founded Shipwreck Film which was an independent film production company. There he shot four short films and his first feature, What’s Your Name 41. Con O’Neill and Ann Mitchell star in (2005). This film was shown at many international film festivals including Raindance Film Festival and Berlin International Directors Lounge.
