Manson Gibson is one of the most popular and richest Kickboxer who was born on May 5, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Manson Howard Gibson, born May 5, 1963, is an American retired kickboxer. He was a 12-time Muay Thai World Champion and Kickboxing World Champion. His vicious use of spinning techniques, wild and unpredictable style were his trademark. He is sometimes called the “Thai Killer”. Gibson is one of America’s greatest kickboxers. He was credited with more than 100 wins and over 80 KOs including 40 via headkick.

Gibson won the I.K.F. title on April 7, 2000. Pro Muay Thailand Rules Light Cruiserweight North America title was won by Gibson in Green Bay Wisconsin. He defeated Phil Petit from Sik Tai, Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, via KO using a spinning backfist. Gibson retired his title when he gained weight in 2005. Gibson won the title Light Cruiserweight, but it had a different weight class: 175.1 lbs. – 182 lbs. Gibson’s title was Light Cruiserweight, although the weight classes were later adjusted.

Gibson defeated Coban Lookchaomaesaitong in the United States when he returned to the USA around 1998. Gibson made the announcement that he was the “Thai Killer” during the match in Compton. He then did back flips beside the prone Coban. Gibson won the I.K.K.C. that year. By defeating Maurice Travis in Los Angeles, Gibson won the Muaythai World Title. He would continue to defend his I.K.K.C. for the next few years. He would defend his I.K.K.C. title four more times, with the highlight being his second victory over Changpuek Kiatsongrit, seven-time World Champion – though as with the Coban fight, his match antics left a bitter taste in the mouth.

After a string of career wins, Gibson reclaimed titles like the K.I.C.K. Around 2002 age started catching up with Gibson who was approaching his forties and he lost his I.K.K.C. world title to Frenchman Manu N’toh. A win against Heath Harris in 2004 for the I.K.K.C. proved he could still be competitive, although his opponent Harris had only had a handful of professional fights prior to the encounter. Always one to try different fighting styles Gibson had a brief foray into MMA in 2006. By the end of 2009, with the losses stacking up after a series of unsuccessful title fights, Gibson retired.
