Malcolm Alker, born 4 November 1978, is an English former professional rugby league player who was a hooker. His entire professional career was spent with the Salford City Reds. He made over 350 appearances from 1997 to 2010. He was also the club’s captain for many decades.

Alker, who announced his retirement at the close of the 2010 season in August 2010, said that he would still be involved with the club as a coach.

Alker was sentenced to four years imprisonment on 12 January 2018 for the armed robbery of a KFC restaurant and a Tesco Express store in Wigan on 31 October 2017.

Alker was a testimonial player for the Salford City Reds during 2006. His testimonial match was played during the 2007 preseason against Wigan Warriors. The Warriors won 20-15.

Alker began his junior career at Orrell St James, before moving to Wigan St Patricks. Alker joined the Salford Reds on May 1997 and made his debut against the Sheffield Eagles later that year.
