Camara scored in the final seconds of extra time on 20 May 2018 to tie the game at 2:2. After Ghislain Gimbert scoring the decisive penalty, AC Ajaccio won in penalties by 5-3.
On 27 October 2020, the 22-year-old Guinean hit the jackpot third time lucky with a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area which nestled in the top right corner of Panagiotis Tsintotas’ goal in a 2–0 home derby win game against rivals AEK Athens. At the winder transfer window, Guinean defensive midfielder Mohamed Camara has been linked with a possible transfer to Marseille and Sheffield United, however, if Olympiacos are going to sell one of their star assets, the bid will have to be a minimum of €20 million. On 22 January 2020, scored his only goal in a 1–0 away win against OFI, as Youssef El-Arabi brilliantly stealing the ball from Kostas Giannoulis, and assisted Camara in space, who beat the goalkeeper with a low shot arrowed into the left corner.
He signed a five year contract with Superleague giants Olympiacos on 6 March 2018 in advance of the 2018-19 season. The fee was not disclosed. The transfer cost was approximately EUR2.5 million. He scored in a 2-1 win against Asteras Tripolis on September 16, 2018.

Camara started his career with the Guinean side Kaloum, then Santoba. He trained with AC Ajaccio in May 2015, French Ligue 2 side. Camara impressed while on trial, and he signed a professional contract in 2016.
Camara made his senior debut in Guinea’s 1-0 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier win over Central African Republic, 9 September 2018.
On 17 February 2019, he scored in a 4–1 home win against champions AEK Athens. On 7 April 2019, he again scored in a 5–0 away win against Panetolikos. On 21 April 2019, Camara opened the scoring for Olympiacos in a 3–1 away win against Lamia, but PAOK’s win the same day confirmed that Olympiacos would finish as runners-up behind PAOK.
