He plays as a centre back for the Italian club Torino as well as the Brazilian national under-23 soccer team.

Lyanco joined Bologna on a loan from 31 January 2019 to 30 June 2019.

Lyanco signed a five year contract with Torino Serie A club for a reported EUR6 million plus bonuses, on 29 March 2017. Sinisa Mihajlovic ordered him to move to Turin immediately to start training with the team and to facilitate his adjustment to the club. His league debut was made on September 20, 2017, with a 3-2 win over Udinese Calcio.
