Lucas Matias Licht, born 6 April 1981, is an Argentine professional footballer. He plays for Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata primarily as a left back, but also as a winger.

After being deemed surplus to manager Michel, Licht was released on 13 December 2009. He did not make it to the 18-man official match list.

Licht was able to play one more season in Argentina with Gimnasia after a trial in Israel with Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona FC. In 2006’s Clausura, Licht scored the only goal against Club Atletico Independiente from 40 metres.

Licht was born in Rosario, Santa Fe. He was raised in the Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata’s youth academy. He started as a midfielder, and made his professional debut in 2001. Three years later, he was with Israeli club Maccabi Haifa F.C. He was on Maccabi Haifa F.C.’s transfer list for three years. His Jewish heritage meant that he wouldn’t be considered a foreigner. He eventually joined Maccabi Netanya F.C. He was offered a contract but they declined to offer him a contract.

Licht signed a four-year contract with Getafe CF on 17 July 2006. He only played in eight games in his first season as a back-up to Javier Paredes. However, he signed a four-year contract with Real Zaragoza and became the undisputed starter. On 22 December 2007, he scored the first goal for Madrid outskirts, scoring a 2-0 victory at UD Almeria. Eight more appearances were made in their quarterfinal run in UEFA Cup.
