After reaching the final of the European qualifying event, she made her Olympic debut at 2004 Summer Olympics. She defeated Susanne Koenig of Germany in the first round, but was then defeated by Yelena Nechayeva from Russia.
She returned to Ohio State in 2004-05 to complete her history degree and was also an undergraduate assistant coach. She reached the quarter-finals twice in 2004-05 and was crowned World No.22. This is a career record. In 2007, she reached her first senior World Cup podium, winning a bronze medal in Orleans. However, she was not able to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics. In late 2008, she was in a serious car accident and required multiple operations. She missed the entire season.

1999 was the first year that women’s sabres were allowed in top-level competitions. She won a silver medal at Dijon’s Cadet World Championships and finished 16th at Seoul’s Senior World Championships. She won a silver medal in Budapest the following year and a gold medal in Havana on the Junior World Cup circuit. She won a silver medal at 2002 Junior World Championships, Antalya, and reached the quarter-finals of the senior championships in Lisbon.
Bond-Williams, a World Cup competitor in Spain, was noticed by Vladimir Nazlymov, Ohio State’s coach. He offered to train her in America and made arrangements for an athletic scholarship. The University of Birmingham, where she was studying for a year had not provided her with the necessary facilities to properly train at her level. From 2002 to 2004, she fenced for the Ohio State Buckeyes, earning All-America honors in each season. In 2012, Ohio State inducted her into the Athletics Hall of Fame.
She qualified to the 2012 Summer Olympics through host option, being the British top-ranked female sabreur at the time. She lost in the first round to the World No.4, Greece’s Vassiliki Vougiouka. She retired after the Games to manage the Truro Fencing Club.
