With under eight seconds to go, the USA was down by one point while Cuba had the ball. Harper stole the ball and made two free throws to give the USA the lead. Cuba missed its final shot to give the USA the win 65–64, propelling them into the gold-medal game against Canada.
In 2011, the inaugural 3×3 U18 World Championship took place. It was originally known as the Youth World Championship. Harper was selected to the team along with her teammates Kaela, Rebecca Greenwell, and Taya Reiner. The team won the first three matches with ease, scoring 21 points more than their opponent. Taya Reimer was injured in her ankle in the match against Guam and was therefore unable to participate in the rest of the competition. The USA team defeated Italy 16-13 despite playing with only three players. The USA team beat Italy by a score of 16-13 on the second day. On the third day, three players won the first two games and then defeated the Czech Republic in overtime. They were now 7-0 and qualified for the medal round.

She received her college education from The Ohio State University. She attended Whitney M. Young High School, Chicago, Illinois for her high school education. She’s been a part of seven USA Basketball teams, both in Americas and international competition.
Harper was selected to the USA Basketball U16 Team, which participated in the Second FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2011, held in Merida (Mexico). This win earned the team the gold medal and an automatic bid to the Second FIBA U17 World Championship For Women – 2012 in Amsterdam.
