Nga started film directing classes at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema in 2000. In 2002, she wrote, directed and starred as the lead in the television series, Xuoi nguoc Duong tran. This series won the National Television Award from the Vietnamese International Film Festival in the Best Television Series category. Linh Nga received her degree in 2006. Linh Nga also worked as an actress for Vietnam Television during this period. Nga graduated from the University of California and applied for her Master in Fine Arts at Chapman University. She is now pursuing sound design and film production.
