In addition to Ku’s career in Hong Kong, between 2000 and 2003, he played the male lead in two television drama series in mainland China, namely “Romance in the Rain” and “My Fair Princess III: Heavenly Earth”. In his “Romance in the Rain” play as the first actor, “He Shuhuan”, popular all over China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and other Asia Pacific areas, Ku became one of the most popular TV actors for CCTV. “Romance in the Rain” was not only the most renowned television series in China in 2001, but it also had the highest rate of all the Chinese TV series replay between 2001 and 2004. It was also the 2001 Hong Kong TVB drama five highest rated one.
