Leeona June Dorrian, Lady Dorrian (born 16 June 1957) is Lord Justice Clerk, which is the second-highest judicial position in Scotland. A lawyer since 1981 she was a judge from 2002. In the following three years, she was a judge on a temporary basis she was appointed a judge of Scotland’s Supreme Courts of Scotland in 2005.
In April of this year Lady Dorrian was appointed Lord Justice Clerk. She succeeded Lord Carloway who had been elevated as Lord Presidency of the Court of Session. Lady Dorrian is the first woman in history to serve in the Lord Justice’s office and at the time of her appointment, she was one of just nine women judges out of 31 in Scotland.
Lady Dorrian was appointed the part of The Management Board of The Aberdeen Law Project in 2010.

Dorrian is a native of Edinburgh and attended the Cranley Girls school located in Edinburgh. She was a student at the School of Law of the University of Aberdeen, graduating LL.B. in 1977. She became a member of the Faculty of Advocates in 1981.
Dorrian was the Permanent Junior Counsel of the Health and Safety Executive and Commission between 1987 between 1987 and 1994, Advocate depute from 1988 to 1991 and as a Standing Junior for the Department of Energy between 1991 between 1991 and 1994. She was named Queen’s Counsel in the year 1994, and admitted in to the English Bar in 1991, in the Inner Temple. From 1997 to 2001,, she was an active member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. Dorrian has been appointed as a Temporary Judge in the Court of Session in 2002 and, in 2005, was elected a full-time Senator to the College of Justice, taking the title of a judge, Lady Dorrian. She was elevated to become the Inner House in 2012.
