Lauri Tukonen was chosen as the Los Angeles Kings as their first selection 11th overall during the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The Finnish pro began his journey as a player for the Blues in the Finnish SM-liiga. The 2003-04 season was when his team was one of the least experienced in league at just 17 years old.
