Justin Vincent (born January 25 1983) was a former American player who played football as a running back who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. Justin Vincent was signed by Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in the year 2007. He played in the NCAA football tournament for Louisiana State University, and was named the winner in during the 2004, BCS National Championship game. He was a key player in beating his team Arizona Cardinals with the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII, his only title.
Vincent was the tailback who started for five games during the 2006 season, following recovering from knee injuries. But his senior year was the weakest of his four seasons at LSU. The team was comprised of the five-man rotation of running backs (which also comprised Jacob Hester, Broussard, Keiland Williams, and Charles Scott), and He was ranked 6th overall on LSU’s rushing team at close of the regular season, accumulating the most yards with 139. The average was 3.1 yards per run, which was which was the lowest among five runners. In 2007, in the Sugar Bowl, he had his most impressive performance of the year, gaining the most yards in 12 carries, gaining 71 yards.
Vincent was signed by the Atlanta Falcons on May 1, 2007, but on September 1, 2007 it was announced that he was cut from the Falcons final roster.
On February 6, 2009, he was re-signed by the Steelers to a future contract. He was waived on September 4. He re-joined the Steelers practice squad for a third straight season on September 6. He was released from the practice squad on November 24. He was re-signed to the practice squad on December 2. On January 6, 2010, he was signed to a reserve future contract. Vincent was released by the Steelers on September 3, 2010.
The year 2005 saw him was moved back to the second string in the back of Joseph Addai after Alley Broussard injured his knee during the start of the season. He ended the season with 488 rushing yards. Then, Vincent suffered a serious knee injury towards the conclusion of the season, in the LSU’s Peach Bowl victory over Miami.
