Justin O’Neill (born 4 April 1991) is an Australian professional footballer in the league who plays in the centre and a wing player for North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL and Australia at the international level.
O’Neill has previously played with his former club, the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League and was a two-time premiership winner for the Storm in 2012, and the Cowboys in 2015. He was a player with both the NRL All Stars and Queensland in the State of Origin series.
On 20 December 2014, O’Neill signed with the North Queensland Cowboys on a 2-year contract, after being released by the Storm.
O’Neill made his club debut for the Cowboys in round 1 of the 2015 NRL season against the Sydney Roosters, scoring a try. On 4 October 2015, O’Neill was a member of the Cowboys’ Grand Final winning side. He scored a try in his side’s 17-16 victory over the Brisbane Broncos. At the end of the year he was named the club’s most improved player.
On the 7th of May, 2012, O’Neill renewed his contract with the Storm with a two-year contract. He scored a touchdown during the Storm’s NRL Grand Final win over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on 30 September. On September 12, 2012, O’Neill received a spot in Vanuatu’s training squad for their game against Greece on the 20th of October, 2012. O’Neill was not a part of the match, although certain sources suggest that the match was played. He was the trainer for Vanuatu during their game against Solomon Islands on October 2013.

On September 7, 2007, the Storm’s captain renewed his contract with the Storm with a two-year contract. Then, in November of 2008 O’Neill participated in his Australian Institute of Sport rugby league team, which traveled to France as well as in the United Kingdom. He was in 2009 when he was picked to play for his place in the Queensland junior team. He was a part in the Storm’s S. G. Ball Cup team in the beginning of 2009 before transferring to their NYC team from the year 2010. On October 4, 2009 O’Neill had a goal during the Storm’s NYC Grand Final win over the Wests Tigers.
O’Neill was made the NRL debut with the Storm on June 14, 2010 when they played the Sydney Roosters. He scored a trio of scores with the North Queensland Cowboys in round 15. In October of 2010, O’Neill was selected for the Junior Kangaroos in their two-match series against the Junior Kiwis. O’Neill scored a try in each match.
In February 2013, O’Neill played for the NRL All Stars in the 2013 All Stars match. On 22 February 2013, he played in the Storm’s 2013 World Club Challenge win over the Leeds Rhinos. O’Neill re-signed with the Storm on a 3-year contract on 14 June 2013.
