Justin McNulty MLA (born 15 November 1974) is an Irish Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) politician and former Gaelic football coach, and an ex- player for Armagh. He has been a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly since 2016 as a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Newry and Armagh.
In August of 2010, following Sean Dempsey resigned McNulty was appointed manager of the newly appointed Laois manager. The first time for McNulty was an enormous success, in that Laois received promotion to the top of the league even though they lost in the league final against Donegal.
The next year, Justin was in charge of Saint Brigid’s Club in Dublin who were narrowly defeated at the time of 2007’s Dublin County Final against St Vincent’s who went on to be the winners of the All Ireland. In the latter part of 2009, Justin was appointed as part of the selection committee for Paddy O’Rourke, the previous Armagh Manager Paddy O’Rourke.

The Lislea-born McNulty was a player for Mullaghbawn along with the twin brothers Paul and older brother Enda. Justin made his debut as a senior in 1995, in the league match against Louth. Justin has won five Ulster Championship medals. In 2002, he won his first All-Ireland medal in the game when Armagh defeated Kerry by a score of 1-12 to 1-14. In 2005, McNulty quit Inter-County football. The management followed shortly after, and Justin took the Mullahoran Dreadnoughts of Cavan to an Irish Senior Championship in the year 2006.
He played with his club in the local area Mullaghbawn Cuchullain’s in Armagh and was a part of the Armagh senior football team from 1995 until 2005. He received the All-Ireland trophy in 2002 when he played as a fullback.
McNulty contested his home constituency of Newry and Armagh for the SDLP in the 2015 general election. Despite losing to Sinn Féin candidate Mickey Brady, McNulty polled 12,026 votes, a 24.1% share which represented a 1500 vote increase on the previous election. McNulty was elected to the 6th Northern Irish Assembly on 3 March 2017 for the SDLP. In the General election of 2017, McNulty saw his share of the vote drop to 16.9% Newry and Armagh with his Sinn Féin rivals vote increasing by 6.8%.
