Rosen (born September 9th 1997) is an Minnesota politician and a member of the Minnesota Senate. She is a participant in the Republican Party of Minnesota, she is a member of District 23 that includes all or portions in Blue Earth, Faribault, Jackson, Le Sueur, Martin, Waseca and Watonwan counties in the southern portion of the state.

Rosen repeatedly voted against legalization of marriages that are gay or bisexual. In 2006 she voted to force the Minnesota marriage amendment to be removed from committee and into the floor. As of the year 2011, Rosen was adamant about putting the same-sex marriage ban on the 2012 Minnesota ballot. She opposed the bill in 2013 to legalize the same-sex marriage in Minnesota.

Along with her work on drug and public safety issues, former Governor Tim Pawlenty (R) called Rosen a “strong voice for rural Minnesota.” She has a background in agriculture. She is also active in seeking improvements in health care, working towards finding a more affordable and beneficial cost and delivery program that supplies the people of Minnesota with better health care benefits. In November 2008, she was appointed by Pawlenty to the Rural Health Advisory Committee. The Rural Health Advisory Committee advises the Minnesota Commissioner of Health and other state agencies on rural health issues. It consists of 15 members appointed by the Governor.

She was married to Tom Rosen until 2010. He is the CEO of Rosen’s Diversified, Inc., a Fairmont company that specializes in beef processing and agricultural chemical distribution and fertilizers. They are the parents of three children.

In her first term as a senator, Rosen was able to claim the honor of being the most authoritative source on methamphetamine as well as other drug-related issues. She was the founder of her own Minnesota Meth Task Force and under her direction and direction, she drafted and passed the ground-breaking Minnesota Meth bill in 2005. It is the most comprehensive and aggressive meth legislation in the United States. She continues to dedicate herself to combat the use of drugs in both adults and children.
