Zambrano did not find his home in Tenerife’s first team following his return, and he decided to end his link on the 18th of January, 2013. The following day, Zambrano joined Recreativo de Huelva, being immediately transferred by CD San Roque de Lepe in Segunda Division B.

Zambrano’s performances for Tenerife’s reserves attracted attention from larger clubs like FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC. The team did not respond and, on the 29th of December 2011 the player returned to his home country as a member of Zamora FC on loan.

Zambrano made his debut in Zambrano’s Canary Islands side on 1 September 2010, making his debut as a last minute substitute in place of Iriome Gonzalez, in a loss of 1-4 in the Copa del Rey against Elche CF in the season’s Copa del Rey.
