Josh McCrone is one of the most popular and richest Rugby League Player who was born on April 12, 1987 in Temora, New South Wales, Australia. Josh McCrone (born 12 April 1987) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays halfback and five-eighth for Toronto Wolfpack in the Betfred Super League.

For the 2010 NRL year, McCrone scored 9 tries and played five-eighth for majority of the time because of Terry Campese being injured. The Canberra club hired Matt Orford from the Super League however, they utilized the rookie Sam Williams instead for most of the season to join McCrone in the halfback position.

He has previously played for the Canberra Raiders and the St. George Illawarra Dragons in the NRL. McCrone played for the Country Origin side between 2012 and 2014.

On 12 October 2015, McCrone signed a two-year contract with the St. George Illawarra Dragons starting in 2016.

McCrone was sacked from the side at start of 2010’s NRL season. He was then relegated back into Canberra’s feeder team Souths Logan. After his 2010 campaign, McCrone been reinstated as the Raiders halfback of the regular team in a team of five eighth Terry Campese to lead the team to a winning streak that saw in the Canberra side in finals, only to be eliminated in the finals by Wests Tigers. McCrone signed a new contract with Canberra until the end in the year 2012. McCrone began his professional journey in McCrone’s Canberra Raiders but failed to make it into the first grade team in the following two seasons. He was signed by Penrith Panthers in 2007, after the transfer of coach Matthew Elliott from Canberra to Penrith and then returning to Canberra at the close of 2008 without playing at all in the NRL.
