The songs from her debut solo album Hazel Eyes, I Will Take You to the Top You (2005, Locust Music) invoke American blues and folk styles that were popular in the early 20th century. The album, A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing, released in 2006, includes unconventional renditions that are 19th century German Lieder. This Coming Gladness, was released in 2008 and features the work by Victor Herrero on electric guitar and percussion from Alex Neilson. In early 2009 , she released an album with 27 Emily Dickinson song settings entitled Graphic as a Star with the British independent label, Fire Records. Then she began work in rural Spain along working with Victor Herrero collecting and arranging collections of folk songs. This resulted with the productions Anda Jaleo (a remake of Garcia Lorca’s voice transcriptions and piano for Spanish songs) and Perlas (a collection of Spanish songs composed with the help of Foster herself) as well as Perlas.
