After his professional career as a player, Ribolzi played as an assistant coach for Alfio Basile during his Coco stint at Boca Juniors (winning also 5 titles over the course of two years). Ribolzi was also interim coach of the senior squad in the year 2006 (one of which was an official match v. Estudiantes de La Plata).

While playing in the team of Boca Juniors, Ribolzi won five championships over two years including 3 league titles and two international titles as well as the 1977 and 1978 Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup that was awarded to Borussia Monchengladbach, in Germany.

Born in the youth club of Club Atletico Atlanta’s division (where Ribolzi was nicknamed Ruso), Ribolzi debuted in the Primera Division in 1972 at 19 years old playing forward. It wasn’t until 1973 that coach Nestor Rossi began to include Ribolzi in the team’s starting lineup. As a result of Ribolzi as a central player of the Atlanta team, Atlanta reached the semi-finals of the 1973 Nacional championship but lost in the semi-finals to Rosario Central coached by Carlos Griguol.

Ribolzi was recruited to Boca Juniors in 1976, as a result of a request from coach Juan Carlos Lorenzo who had been appointed by the club the previous year. Ribolzi was joined by others, including Ernesto Mastrangelo, Hugo Gatti who made up the bottom of the team that would go on to win the inaugural Copa Libertadores for the club in the year following. Under the guidance of coach Lorenzo, Ribolzi played as attacking midfielder, along alongside Jorge Chino Benitez and Ruben Sune, who were the two other players who were part of the Boca Juniors midfield by then.
