Ramos (born on March 25 1950) is a former 5-time Emmy Award winning senior anchor of the evening newscast for Telemundo’s New York City affiliate, WNJU. An early pioneer in broadcasting in Spanish, Ramos began his career in 1979 as the initial reporter for the station’s new News Division, El Informador (Later known as Informador 47 and now called Noticiero 47) which went to air in 1980.

On August 16 in the 16th of August, Ramos declared his resignation from the WNJU Telemundo 47 after 40 years of service. The final newscast of his career was the 21st of September the 21st of September, 2018.

The month of November, 2002 was the time that Ramos created the well-loved show Crimenes sin Resolver (Unsolved Crimes). Since its debut his investigations have resulted in the arrest and conviction of four dangerous criminals. Raymond Kelly, Commissioner of the New York City Police Department has awarded Ramos the distinction of a special award for his contribution to the program.
