David Brynmor Williams (born 29 October 1951 in Cardigan) is the head of the Welsh dubl-code rugby union international player, as well as a professional footballer in the league. He played at the representative level of the rugby union (RU) in the British Lions and Wales, at invitational levels with Barbarian F.C., and at club level for Cardiff RFC, Newport RFC and Swansea RFC, as a scrum-half, i.e. number 9, and representative of rugby league (RL) for Wales and on a club-level with the Cardiff City (Bridgend) Blue Dragons as a scrum half, i.e. number 7.
Prior to the start of the 1984/85 football season, Cardiff City Blue Dragons moved to Ninian Park in Cardiff, to Coychurch Road Ground in Bridgend and were renamed Bridgend Blue Dragons.

In 1977, he traveled to New Zealand with the British and Irish Lions when he had not yet been recognized as a player by Wales. His international debut was during the opening match to the All Blacks at Athletic Park, Wellington, in June 1977. He continued to play in the initial three matches before being substituted because of injury in the third game.
It was his Wales debut against Australia in Ballymore, Brisbane in June 1978. He scored a score during his debut. The only other time he played for Wales included during his 1981 Five Nations championship.
Williams is Welsh-speaking and is sometimes called upon as a pundit in the Welsh-language media. In 2016 Williams took up the voluntary role as Chair of Fields in Trust Cymru, a charity dedicated to protecting outdoor space for play, sport and recreation.
