After the departure of Berwick Sheerin was signed by SJFA the East Superleague side Kelty Hearts on 8 February 2017. Sheerin was loaned to Cowdenbeath during the following season. She then was signed on a permanent contract following a successful loan period.

Sheernin’s performance in the midfield of Musselburgh caught the eye to Scottish Championship side Livingston, who signed him to two-year contract and made one of the initial summer signings. He scored three league goals during the 2015-16 season, however, he frequently found himself in the right-wing. 2 June 2016 was the date that Sheerin joined Scottish League Two side Berwick Rangers on a one-year contract but he resigned his club on February of 2017 with seven goals in his 26 games.
