Jordon Dizon is one of the most popular and richest American football linebacker who was born on January 16, 1986 in Kauai, Hawaii, United States. Jordon Dizon (born on 16 January in 1986) was a former American football linebacker, who had a stint with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). Dizon played for the college team at the University of Colorado, and was named the consensus All-American. Dizon was selected by the Detroit Lions selected him in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, and he was a part of the Lions for two seasons. He was injured in a knee injury in 2010 that ended his career.

In 2007 Dizon achieved a single-game record for tackles as he faced CSU (22) as well as also set the school record single-season for stops on third downs, having 19 stops in 12 games. The field was rarely left to play for to play for the Buffs, Dizon missed only 34 defensive snaps in 2007. The 160 tackles he recorded were almost more than the next closest to the field (safety Dan Dykes registered 83) Dizon also finished his final season with the most total tackles for anyone on any Division I team in the country. Colorado linebackers ‘ head coach Brian Cabral, who recruited Dizon from high school, described Dizon “the most complete, every down player that I’ve ever coached.”

During CU’s pro timing day, Dizon ran the forty yard dash in 4.59 seconds—which would have registered among the five fastest times recorded by a linebacker at the 2008 NFL Combine. His 34.5 inch vertical jump also impressed scouts, while Dizon’s meager 12 repetitions lifting 225 pounds was considered poor for a linebacker. On April 26, 2008, Dizon was chosen 45th overall in the 2nd round of the 2008 draft by the Detroit Lions.

Dizon’s first season saw the rookie struggle to find consistent playing time. He finished the season with 31 total tackles, 14 of which came on special teams. When hired in January 2009, coach Jim Schwartz changed defensive schemes, moving Dizon back to the outside linebacker position. During the 2009 off-season, Dizon earned high praise from Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham and linebackers coach Matt Burke, the latter of whom noted, “Jordon’s probably been one of the hardest workers I have. He works really hard at it. He wants to do better, he wants to do it right and he really works at it. I’ve been really pleased with the work he’s done.” Dizon tore two tendons in his knee and damaged a third during the 2010 NFL preseason. He was placed on injured reserve on August 16, 2010. He was released by the Lions on July 28, 2011.

Dizon was a student at his time at the University of Colorado, where he was a member of his team, the Colorado Buffaloes football team from 2004 until 2007. He started out as a safety an actual freshman at Colorado and was later moved to linebacker shortly before the season even began. In September 2004, when he played in a match against Colorado State University, Dizon became the first freshman to play in the season opener as an inside linebacker. In every game at the age of 18, Dizon easily set the school record for tackles by a freshman during the season, with the number of 82. The next two seasons, Dizon continued to rack more tackles, registering the numbers of 61 in 2005 and 137 in. The latter figure was the highest number of tackles by any CU player over the course of nearly 10 years (Ryan Sutter recorded one hundred in the year 1997).
