Jon Emili Uriarte (born October 15th in 1961) is an Argentine former volleyball player and coach. He represented his home country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and won the bronze medal in the national team of men. He also won an Olympic bronze at 1982’s World Championship held in Argentina.
In May of 2011, Uriarte was again hired by the Australian Volleyball Federation, reprising his position as Head Coach for Australia’s Australian male volleyball squad. In June 2012, during the AOGQ competition in Japan Uriarte was the coach who led team Australian team to make it to Olympic Games for the second time. Olympic Games for the second time.
In 2005, Uriarte relocated to Brazil to be a coach at Telemig/Minas Tenis Clube, obtaining the Paulistan League Champion 2005, and guiding the team to second place in the Brazilian Super regular season of the league in 2006.
