Jon Midttun Lie is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on December 10, 1980 in Sandefjord, Norway. Jon Midttun Lie (born 10 December 1980) is a Norwegian former professional footballer. In his professional life, he was a player with Sandefjord, Start, Lillestrom and Sogndal. Midttun Lie played in one game in the national team of Norway U19 at the age of 19 in 1999 and also played futsal with Sandefjord Futsal.
Midttun Lie played in 24 games in his debut season for Start and also won the silver medal as the newly-promoted team was 2nd in Tippeligaen. Midttun Lie sustained an injury during the 2006 season and was absent for a period of 10 months. He returned at the start of the 2007 season , and scored a goal during Start’s 4-1 defeat against Rosenborg on May 16, 2007 in the second match following his injury. Midttun Lie was dismissed in two matches consecutively firstly in the league match against Lillestrom on the 24th of June when he was tackled by Magnus Myklebust as the last man, and then three days later, in the cup match with Manglerud Star. After Start was dropped to Tippeligaen in 2007. Midttun Lie and teammate Steinar Pedersen joined Lillestrom, which is where Nordlie the coach they had previously worked under from Start was in charge. Midttun Lie played in 52 games in Tippeligaen for Start during Tippeligaen with five scoring goals.
Lillestrøm and Midttun Lie agreed on terminating his contract after the 2009 season, and Midttun Lie spent time on a trials with Odd Grenland in December 2009 and Lyn in March 2010 but did not get a contract with a new club. After he started studying physical therapy, Midttun Lie joined the Second Division side Fram Larvik for the rest of the season in August 2010. In January 2011 he decided to play for Fram Larvik until the summer, when he was going to travel to the Netherlands to continue studying physical therapy. Midttun Lie did however miss the entire 2011 season after getting injured in a friendly match against Kvik Halden in March 2011.
Midttun Lie has also played futsal for Sandefjord Futsal, and scored three goals in his debut against Nordpolen Futsal in January 2010.
Midttun Li played in 97 games as a goal scorer for Sandefjord Fotball from 1999 to 2004. He was often used as a winger for Tom Nordlie’s 4-3-3 formation , except for 2003 where he was suffering from an injury to his knee and was absent over 11 months. Nordlie quit Sandefjord to take over the coaching of IK Start prior to the 2004-season and Midttun Lie played a lesser crucial in Arne Dokken’s formation of 4-4-2. After the 2004 season, Midttun Lie was traded to Start and was brought back to Nordlie who Midttun Lie claimed was the best coach he’s ever had.

Midttun Lie was born in Haukeli until the age of 12 years old, and participated in football with IL Rein. Midttun Lie moved with his family Sandefjord in 1992, and began playing football for Sandar IL, the club in town. Sandar IL at the age 13 following a brief time in Helgerod IL. Later, he was a member of Sandefjord BK, where he was a part of the team’s first team. In the event that Sandefjord BK and IL Runar were merged prior to the 1999 season midttun Lie was a part of the new squad Sandefjord Fotball.

Midttun Lie made his debut for Lillestrøm in the friendly match against Halmstad but was injured after 38 minutes Midttun Lie was away for a month, and played his second match for Lillestrøm in the friendly against Algeciras on 20 March 2008, ten days before the opening match of the 2008 season. Nordlie resigned as head coach in May 2008, and Midttun Lie did not play much under the new head coach Henning Berg and ahead of the 2009 season Lillestrøm wanted send Midttun Lie on loan. Nordlie, who coached Midttun Lie at Sandefjord, Start and Lillestrøm was now head coach of Kongsvinger and was interested in getting Midttun Lie on loan, along with Sogndal, Løv-Ham and Nybergsund. Midttun Lie joined Sogndal on a season-long loan-deal on 16 March 2009 He played a total of 22 matches for Sogndal in the 2009 season when the team finished fourth in the First Division.
