John Hecimovic (born March 31 1984) is a Canadian born Croatian ex- professional ice hockey athlete. Hecimovic was then offered a trial for a tryout HDD Olimpija Ljubljana. In October of 2011, he was signed on a one-month contract by Anyang Halla.
On the 8th of December, 2011, Hecimovic was signed by the Nippon Paper Cranes of the Asia League for the remainder of the 2011-12 season. After the season was over in the Nippon Paper Cranes, Hecimovic returned to EBEL for one more year as a player with Dornbirner EC.

Hecimovic was picked during the 9th Round (264th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers. John was drafted by the Major Junior Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League. In his fifth year playing for the Sting (2004-05) John was transferred for the Mississauga IceDogs to finish his junior career.
In his professional career Hecimovic has been a part of two leagues: the Austrian, German, and Swiss leagues. In 2008-09, he was the highest scoring player of the Dutch Championship, helping HYS The Hague to win the championship. In June of 2009 Hecimovic became an independent player with Croatian side, KHL Medvescak, joining the highly regarded EBEL league. For the season 2009-10, which was his first time with the Bears, John scored 20 goals in 49 games during the regular season. In the Salata 2010 Winter Classic, Hecimovic was the first goal scorer and top scorer, with two goals in EBEL history, to score on the Salata Ice Rink in the loss against Villach 3-3. On April 20th, 2010, He was signed to an agreement for two years in the event that Medvescak was 7th in the league.
In 2013, Hećimović played for the Croatian national team at the IIHF World Championship Division II.
