Joseph “Joe” Screen (born 27 November 1972 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire), is a former British speedway racer who competed internationally. His top speedway honors included taking home the World Under-21 Championship in 1993 as well as the British Championship in 1996 and in 2004, as well as the British League Riders the’Championship in 1992. Screen also raced in longtrack and grasstrack motorbike racing, and was an ex- British Masters champion.

After being let go by Belle Vue after their 2008 campaign, Screen became a member of Elite League champions the Poole Pirates on loan for 2009, having shed 27 pounds due to his weight concerns. Despite an improvement in his performance over the season , he wasn’t kept by Poole. In the end, he was not able to secure the Elite League offer he agreed to a two-year contract for two years with Premier League Glasgow Tigers, but an appeal of the greensheet’s converted 12 point average was rejected, almost making him retire. He was able to salvage his life through a temporary deal for Wolverhampton Wolves for 2010, until Adam Skornicki’s return from injury. His time at Wolves was a time when his performance decline enough to allow him to be part of Glasgow Tigers. In 2011, he was captain of Glasgow to be victorious in two titles: the Premier League Championship and the Premier League Pairs (alongside James Grieves). Also, he rode with Birmingham Brummies in the Elite League in 2012 and 2011 in a double-up capacity. In 2013, he rode with the Coventry Bees in the Elite League to cover Adam Roynon, who was injured. Screen was the 1993 World Under-21 Champion. Screen made his debut for England in 1991 , but did not join the newly named Great Britain team until 2002. Screen has been twice British Champion, in 1996 and in 2004. Screen competed during the Speedway Grand Prix series between 1996 and 2001 (when he was forced to withdraw due to a thigh injury) and was an official wildcard during the British Grand Prix in 2002 and participated for the 21 Grands Prix and scoring a total of 159 points.
