Joe Posnanski is one of the most popular and richest American journalist who was born on January 8, 1967 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Joe Posnanski (/p @ z’n Ae n s k i or /; known as “Poz” and “Joe Po” born on January 8th in 1997) is an American journalist for sports. He was a former senior columnist for Sports Illustrated (where he wrote the blog the Curiously Long Blog) also a regular columnist with The Kansas City Star, the writer is currently writing in The Athletic and his personal blog, JoeBlogs.

Some of his column on the wonders of sports are collected in the book The Good Stuff. The publication The Soul of Baseball: A Road Trip through Buck O’Neil’s America was published by William Morrow & Company and received the CASEY Award as best baseball book in 2007. Another book on The Big Red Machine, titled The Machine: A Hot Team and a legendary Season and a heart-stopping World Championship The story of 1975’s Cincinnati Reds, was published in 2009 and was ranked 17 in the New York Times Bestseller List. Posnanski wrote a biography of the long-time Penn State football coach Joe Paterno for Simon & Schuster, which was published on August 21 in 2012 and debuted at number one on the New York Times Bestseller List. Posnanski’s fourth novel, The Secret of Golf is a chronicle of the long-running rivalry and friendship between players Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. The latest book he has written The Harry Houdini: The Life and Afterlife of Harry Houdini The book was released on the 22nd of October, 2019.

Posnanski has been awarded numerous other prizes among them an award from the Missouri Press Association award for the most outstanding journalist in sports for Missouri 10 times. Also, the first recipient of the Joe McGuff journalism award, given through the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission. In 2011 the Baseball Bloggers Alliance named Posnanski the first recipient of their online writer of year award. In 2011, the BBA further announced they would change the name of the award to “The Joe Posnanski Award.” The award was presented at the Blogs With Balls 4 conference, he took home the most outstanding sportswriter during the first Untitled Sports Media Award Project (USMAP).
