Jody Mitic (“‘m I T @ k/ ) CD (born January 3 1977) is a Canadian politician and former soldier. He was an Ottawa City Councillor and was a member of the Innes Ward in Ottawa’s east end from 2014 until the year 2018.
Mitic made public on March 31st, 2018,, that the politician would not be running for re-election. He said he wanted spending more time with family as well as physical and mental health concerns. After a long absence, Ottawa City Council voted June 13, 2018 , to allow the indefinite absence of Mitic. This was similar to what it did in 2013 to assist the Councillor Stephen Blais’ recovery from an heart attack.
In 2017, the Conservative Party leadership contest, Mitic played a role in the former Secretary for Veterans Affairs Erin O’Toole’s campaign.
