Jing Junhong is one of the most popular and richest Table Tennis Player who was born on October 13, 1968 in Shanghai, China. Jing Junhong was born in Shanghai, China on 13 October 1968. She was the daughter of engineers and teachers. Jing was a tables tennis throughout China after being discovered at the age of eight in 1988 she was the third-ranked women’s Table tennis athlete. The year she was introduced to Singaporean Table tennis athlete Loy Soo Han who was enrolled in an extended training program. Jing as well as Loy got married in the year 1992 and Jing relocated to Singapore in that year with the goal of quitting table tennis. She was a naturalized citizen from Singapore at the age of 1994. The year 1998 was the first time she welcomed one child, Meng Huen (Darren) and as of 2012 was studying to be a representative of Singapore on table tennis.
Between 2000 and the in 2004 Olympic events, Jing won medals at the 2001 and 2003 Southeast Asian Games, and at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. The 2004 Olympic Games, Jing returned to the competition in both doubles and singles events, continuing her partnership together with Li Jiawei in the doubles. Jing and Li started the doubles competition in the round of 16 which they lost to South Korean team Kim Kyung-Ah and Kim Bok Rae. In the singles competition, Jing began in the second round. She defeated Silvija Erdelji from Serbia however she was eliminated to Kim Hyon-Hui of North Korea in the third round. Jing was a retired athlete that year.
Jing Junhong became the assistant coach of the Singapore women’s table tennis team in 2009. She was on staff when, in the 2012 Summer Olympics, Singapore won two bronze medals, an individual medal by Feng Tianwei and a doubles medal by Wang Yuegu and Li Jiawei, Jing’s former partner. In 2013, Jing was promoted to head coach, and won the Singapore Table Tennis Association’s Coach of the Year award in 2013 and 2014. Under Jing’s leadership, the women’s team won six gold medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and star player Feng Tianwei picked up additional victories at International Table Tennis Federation events in Japan, Australia, and the Philippines. The women’s team also won three third-place medals at the 2014 Asian Games.
In November 2015, following a public dispute with player Yu Mengyu at the International Table Tennis Federation Polish Open and a request by Yu and Feng Tianwei for a coaching change, Jing Junhong was replaced as the head coach of the women’s team. Jing was instead put in charge of several of the Singapore Table Tennis Association’s youth development programs, with oversight over both the programs and their coaches.
Jing was a representative of Singapore during her 1997 Summer Olympics at Atlanta in the USA, where she played in the women’s singles competition. She won her team and won all three match (against Kim Hyang Mi, Xu Jing, and Petra Cada), but she was eliminated in round 16 when she lost against China’s Qiao Hong. In recognition of the excellence of her Olympic performance, which was considered to be one of the best to that time in Singapore’s history, Jing was awarded the 1997 Sportswoman of the Year. In the next season, Jing was back at the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships where she won the single double, double as well as team competitions, receiving a second consecutive Sportswoman of the Award of the Year. Jing continued to win medals throughout the following years, winning singles titles in 1997’s Southeast Asian Games and two doubles as well as winning a team award at the 1999 Southeast Asian Games.

Jing Junhong, also stylized as Jing Jun Hong (Chinese: Jing Jun Hong ; pinyin: Jing Junhong ; born on 13th October 1968) was an ex-professional table tennis player. Born in Shanghai She was a top-ranked player in China before moving into Singapore along with her spouse, Singaporean table tennis player Loy Soo Han. They were she got married in 1992. She was a member of Singapore in sports events beginning in the early 1990s and became an Singaporean citizen in the year 1994. After quitting as a tennis player, she became assistant head coach, and later as head coach of the national women’s table tennis team before being appointed to head the table tennis junior development program in the latter half of 2015.
In the year 1992 Jing represented Singapore in international table tennis tournaments. The first time she represented Singapore was the Vietnam Golden Racket Championships, which she took home. The next time, Jing was selected to represent Singapore at the 1993 World Table Tennis Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. At the tournament she defeated then the highest-ranked athlete and Olympic Champion Deng Yaping from China. As of 1995 Jing was a representative of Singapore during Singapore’s participation in the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships, which she finished second to Hong Kong’s Chai Po Wa. She also competed in 1995, she represented Singapore at the Southeast Asian Games. The Southeast Asian Games, she won the mixed and singles doubles events. She was second place in the women’s doubles event.
In the 2000 Summer Olympics, Jing competed in both the singles and doubles events, the latter alongside Li Jiawei. In the singles event, Jing again swept her group, beating Karen Li and Sofija Tepes. She then defeated Sun Jin, Lijuan Geng, and Mihaela Steff to reach the semifinals, where she was defeated by Li Ju. In the bronze medal game, she lost to Chen Jing. In the doubles event, Jing and Li started in the round of 16, where they were defeated by Eldijana Bentsen and Tamara Boroš of Croatia. Jing again won the Sportswoman of the Year award for her Olympic performance. Following the 2000 Olympics, Jing was ranked 12th in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation.
