James David Stannard (born 6 October 1962) is an English retired goalkeeper in football. While playing for Gillingham He recorded the lowest amount of goals conceded during an entire season of 46 games within the Football League, when he only conceded 20 goals during the league’s 1995-96 seasons. Up to 18 January 2013 Stannard was the goalkeeper’s first team director at Southampton. Stannard has been appointed the primary goalkeeper coach at Bromley.
