Jim McIntyre is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 24, 1972 in Alexandria, Alexandria Governorate, Egypt. James McIntyre (born 24 May 1972) is a Scottish football player and coach. McIntyre was primarily striker, or left-handed midfielder. His playing career saw him was a player at Bristol City, Exeter City, Airdrieonians, Kilmarnock, Reading, Dundee United and Dunfermline Athletic.

McIntyre was appointed the caretaker head coach for Dunfermline Athletic on 4 December 2007 following the demotion of the manager who was in charge at the time the team, Stephen Kenny. McIntyre’s inaugural game as head coach was a home game against Clyde on December 8, in which Dunfermline were able to come back from behind to draw 1-1 and the same result was achieved following week at Partick Thistle, where Stephen Glass also failed to convert an opportunity to score a penalty. McIntyre was appointed Dunfermline Manager on a permanent basis on the 3rd of January in 2008, and signed a two-and-a-half year contract following an impressive run of four consecutive victories. After four consecutive wins McIntyre was named his First Division Manager of the month award for December. He once again received the award in the form of Dunfermline’s streak of unbeaten play in September of 2008. In the season 2010-11, McIntyre led Dunfermline to the First Division Championship and promotion to the Scottish Premier League, eventually winning the league by ten points over Raith Rovers. In the three and a half years with the division, The Pars he was Manager of the Month five times. Dunfermline had a difficult time during their 2011-12 Scottish Premier League season and were four points behind at the lowest of the league at the time he quit his club at the end of March of 2012.

In April 2012, McIntyre was hired by Bristol City manager Derek McInnes to work as the club’s first team coach until the end of the 2011–12 season. He had previously been doing some scouting work for Bristol City after being sacked by Dunfermline. McIntyre left Bristol City on 25 January 2013 by mutual consent.

On 9 September 2014, McIntyre was appointed as manager of Scottish Premiership club Ross County. He led the club to their first major trophy, a Scottish League Cup, by winning the March 2016 final against Hibernian. McIntyre and his assistant Billy Dodds were sacked by County in September 2017.

The month of July was when McIntyre was signed by Dunfermline Athletic after negotiating the ending of the Dundee United contract. McIntyre scored a crucial penalty goal at Hibernian on the pitch at Hampden Park in a Scottish Cup semi-final replay that allowed Dunfermline to reach the final by winning 1-0. Following his appointment in the role of Dunfermline Manager at the beginning in 2008 McIntyre didn’t make an appearance in the club until the end of November due to an injury.

Born from Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, McIntyre began his career in England after a series of unsuccessful tests at Hearts as well as Dundee United, and serving an apprenticeship in joinery for three years, joining Bristol City in 1991. In the meantime, he was on an extended loan at Exeter City in 1993. In the following year, he returned to Scotland and signed for Airdrieonians who impressed him enough in order to be promoted to the highest division. In March of 1996, he joined Kilmarnock which would later join their Scottish Cup winning team in 1997. McIntyre scored the winner’s goal in the semi-final match against Dundee United.

He was also an goal scorer for the Scottish Cup semi-final winning team. The announcement was made in April 2006 by United director Craig Brewster in April 2006 that McIntyre could be free to quit the club at the conclusion in the current season.

McIntyre was appointed Queen of the South manager on 27 June 2013, replacing Allan Johnston who moved to Kilmarnock on 24 June 2013. McIntyre appointed Gerry McCabe his assistant manager on 28 June 2013, having previously assisted him at Dunfermline.
