From September 1970, Gresham’s school, which was a boarding school in Norfolk. Claire Powell writes that Nevill thought it was inappropriate to send Bamber to an elementary school in the local area for village kids, especially in the event that he would one day be required to employ the children on the farm. This led, according to Powell to a situation where Bamber felt more and more isolated by his extended family as well as rural life, like Bamber’s sister.
