Jason Muzzatti is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on February 3, 1970 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Jason Mark Muzzatti (born February 3 1970) is a Canadian-Italian professional goalie in ice hockey and currently the goaltending coach of the Carolina Hurricanes.

In 2006, after eight seasons playing in European elite leagues Muzzatti came back to North America and was signed by Flint Generals of the United Hockey League. Muzzatti played all of the 2006-07 season with Flint Generals after which he was let go. He was named head coach for the Generals in the year 2009.

Starting with the 2015-16 season, Muzzatti was the goaltending coach for the Michigan State Spartans for four seasons.

On August 13, 2019, Muzzatti was hired as the goaltending coach of the Carolina Hurricanes. He joined the coaching staff of Rod Brind’Amour, a former teammate with the Michigan State Spartan hockey team during the 1988-89 season.

Muzzatti joined Deutsche Eishockey Liga side Eisbaren Berlin in 1998. He was a part of Tappara which is a Finnish team from the SM-liiga, one year later before returning back to Germany along with his current team, the Augsburger Panther for one season. The year 2001 saw him relocated to Italy to play for the Serie A team HC Milano Vipers. Muzzatti was named the top goalie for Milano. In 2004, Muzzatti was signed by an Italian elite team called Hockey Club Bolzano. Muzzatti was Bolzano’s best goalie for the span of two seasons.

Muzzatti was a four-year player during his time at Michigan State University with a record of 83 wins, 34 losses and 6 tie-ups. He was drafted by Calgary Flames in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft as the 21st pick in the opening round. He was a member of in the Salt Lake Golden Eagles of the IHL in the year 1991. He was a part of in the Flames in 1993, but was a mere player in Calgary with only two games over two seasons. He was claimed as a waiver in 1995 by the Hartford Whalers in 1995 and played in 53 games before they traded him with the New York Rangers. He concluded the final season of his NHL professional career between 1997 and 1998 for the San Jose Sharks.

In 2008-09 Muzzatti started as an assistant coach with the Flint Generals of the International Hockey League (IHL). The following season in 2009-10 Muzzatti was hired as head coach of the Generals, and won the IHL Coach of the Year award that year.
