Jason Death pronounced (/d iː θ / ) (born 25 August 1971) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He played for the Canberra Raiders, the North Queensland Cowboys, the New Zealand Warriors and the South Sydney Rabbitohs as a hooker and a lock. Death is the uncle of current Penrith Panthers player Nathan Cleary.

In 1991, Death was named the Canberra Raiders rookie of the year. In 1994, Death played 16 times for Canberra and featured in the qualifying final and preliminary final for the club but missed out on playing in the grand final winning side despite being named on the interchange bench. In 1995, Death featured prominently for Canberra again playing 21 times and played in the losing preliminary final match against the Canterbury Bulldogs.
Death then joined North Queensland spending three unsuccessful seasons with them as the club finished last in 1997. Death then joined Auckland later to rebranded as the New Zealand Warriors and played there for three seasons. Death then joined South Sydney in 2002 who had just been readmitted into the competition. Souths finished second last that year, only avoiding the wooden spoon due to the Bulldogs’ salary cap breach where the NRL stripped all of the club’s points accrued throughout the year as punishment. In 2003 and 2004, Death was a part of the Souths squads which finished last and he retired at the end of 2004.
