She did not play in March or April, but returned in May to win her first $25k event and her second career tournament on the clay of Catania, Italy beating Ivana Abramović of Croatia in the final. The following week, she reached the quarterfinal of another $50k event at Saint- Gaudens, France beating Argentine María Emilia Salerni and French player Pauline Parmentier to this end. She entered qualifying at the French Open, and defeated Shikha Uberoi but lost to Sofia Arvidsson in the second leg.

She began to increase her playing schedule in 2003 when she was still 15 years old. In February, she reached the semifinals of a $25k tournament at Redbridge. There, she defeated Sandra Klosel and Severine Beltrame before falling to Olga Barabanschikova. The next tournament she entered was her third of the year, and her ninth in her career. In the semifinal, she beat Ekaterina Butchkova in the $10k tournament at Rabat in March. This result earned her wildcard to qualify for her first WTA Tour event.
