Marc Legendre wrote his first comic series, which was longer-running. Sam follows the adventures of a young girl who works in a garage. After 8 albums, the series was stopped and translated unsuccessfully. Bosschaert attempted to limit his commercial work to only a handful of jobs per year but he made exceptions for people he felt connected to. King Kong Kooks was a comic annex for Walter Van Beirendonck.

Jan Bosschaert, born 15 December 1957, is a Belgian comics artist and painter, and illustrator. He is best known for his comic series Sam and Jaguar and for his illustrations in Marc De Bel’s books.
Bosschaert published (A Suivre) his first work and made his first comic album in 1982. However, his breakthrough was the political-satirical comic Strip Pest in ‘t Paleis (“Pest in the Palace”) which appeared in HUMO in 1984. Bosschaert stopped making comics, and spent the remainder of the decade as an illustrator for various magazines, such as Playboy and Hugo Claus. His most notable illustrative work was first published in the Flemish television channel VRT and then in the publications of Altiora, a popular children’s book author Marc De Bel. He considers himself a friend and an older brother.
