Jan Benda is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on April 28, 1972 in Reet, Germany. Benda was a player for HC Plzen 1929. He scored 35 points in 51 regular-season games during the 2009-10 season.

Benda represented Germany at the 2002 World Championships and 1996 World Cup of Hockey. She also represented Germany at the Winter Olympics in 1994 and 1998.

In 2011, he returned to Germany, joining the Nürnberg Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga on a short-term deal, before signing with EHC München for the remainder of the 2011-12 season.

He then spent the 2012-13 campaign with the Dresdner Eislöwen in Germany’s second-tier league DEL2.

Benda would return to North America in 1997-98 for the Portland Pirates AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Later, he was recalled by the Capitals and would score three assists in nine matches. Benda would return Europe after the 1997-98 season was over. Benda would continue to play in SM-Liga for the next three seasons. He was the leader of his team’s points in 1998-99 (with Assat pori) and 1999-2000 (with Jokerit). Benda would sign with Ak Bars Kazan, Russian Superleague in 2001. He would spend three more seasons in Kazan, and split his final year with Cherepovets Severstal and Khimik Voskresensk.

Jan Benda, a retired German player and coach of ice hockey, was born 28 April 1972. He was a part of three Olympic Winter Games for Germany with the German national team and appeared in nine National Hockey League games.

Benda was born in Belgium to Czech parents. He began his OHL career with the Oshawa Generals. There he played alongside future NHL stars like Jason Arnott and Eric Lindros. He would end his last year with the Generals with 35 points in 61 matches. Benda, who had previously played 2 seasons in Germany for the Generals, would return to North America to participate in the 1994-95 ECHL season for the Richmond Renegades. He finished the season with 60 points, in 62 games. This was fifth for the team. He also played briefly for the AHL affiliate of New York Rangers, Binghamton Rangers. Benda would continue to play for HC Sparta Praha in the next two seasons.

Benda played in the Czech Republic for BK Mladá Boleslav, whom he joined in 2008 where he was the captain. Before joining BK Mladá Boleslav, he had played with HC Litvínov from 2006-08.
