On the 13th of July, 2009 Ibson got released by Porto and signed a three-year deal in the club of FC Spartak Moscow, being traded at EUR4 million. He scored twice in 28 games during the 2010 season, guiding to achieve a fourth-place finish on the Russian Premier League.

At the end of the 2018 season, 35-year-old Ibson was released by the TCF Bank Stadium-based club.
