He then transferred into Boston College after his graduation. Silberman was picked for the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was also part of the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, and Carolina Panthers.

An alumnus from Orange Park, Florida, Silberman was a student at Fleming Island High School, where he was an offensive tackle as well as saw only a few minutes as a defensive player. In his junior year, Silberman earned All-Area and All-Clay County distinctions, and was selected as a member of the 4A All- State Second-Team. In the end, the Golden Eagles finished 8-2 on the season, but fell short of the playoffs due to the district’s lopsided defeats against Orange Park in the first round and Gainesville Buchholz at the end of the season. The year he was a senior, Silberman helped to lead Fleming Island to a 10-2 season record. Its Golden Eagles advanced to the FHSAA Class 5A Regional finals which they lost in the finals to Lakeland High School. Silberman received the honor of being named 2nd team USA Today High School All-American following the season. He was also a participant at the 2010 Under Armour All- American Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.
