Ian Wayne Callen, born 2 May 1955 in Alexandra (Victoria), is an ex-Australian cricketer who participated in five ODIs and one Test from 1978 to 1982. He is now the owner of a company that makes cricket bats.
He played in both the first and second ODIs on the West Indies tour. The former took 1-42, while the latter took 3-24. He suffered a fracture to his lower back during the tour. He returned to international cricket with Australia in 1982. He was a part of three ODIs. He took 1-32, 0-50, and did not bowl in the third. The lower back injury did not fully heal.
Callen established Ian Callen Sports in 1981. In 1985, he sold the company to focus on the production of the MX, K-IX, and Aussie Boomah bats. Callen Cricket in the Yarra Valley has re-established cricket-bat-willow cultivation from the stock that was sent to Australia in 1902 by A. C. MacLaren, the English Test captain. He processes the timber from his Healesville and Sale plantations. This timber is used to make picture frame mouldings and cricket bats.

Callen made his first-class debut for Victoria in 1976-77. He won his fourth Sheffield Shield match with 4 for 55 and 5 to 15 in Victoria’s innings win over South Australia. In the next match, he took 1 and 82 and 8 and 42 in a 10-wicket win over Queensland.
In 1978, he played against India in Adelaide. He was not well from the injections that he received in preparation for his tour to West Indies. However, he still took three wickets in each of the innings and helped to bowl Australia to victory. He was admitted to the hospital with an intravenous drip the night before. However, he recovered and played an important role in Australia’s win on the final day.
