He started three games at right defensive line in 1996 to replace Charles Haley, and one at right defensive tackle to make up for Chad Hennings’ injury. He was sixth on the team with 21 tackles, 2.5sacks and 11 quarterback pressures. At the end of the season, he had to have rotator-cuff surgery on the right shoulder.

After the 1994 NFL draft, McCormack was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted agent. McCormack was a rookie and appeared in four games, accumulating one quarterback sack.
