She competes primarily in the javelin throw. She represented New Zealand at both the 2012 Summer Paralympics held in London and 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio de Janeiro. She was New Zealand’s flagbearer at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Games and won silver in the women’s javelin throwing F46. She won the silver medal in that same event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Robinson was awarded the silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the women’s Para Javelin. She finished behind Hollie Arnold of Great Britain with a throw of 43.32m.

Robinson won a bronze medal at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships with a throw of 38.18m. She set a New Zealand record at the 2016 Australian Athletics Championships with a throw 40.81m. This placed her as the number one javelin F46 thrower in the world during the Paralympic qualifying period. It earned her a spot at the 2016 Paralympics Games. On 23 May 2016, she was confirmed as New Zealand’s Paralympics representative.
