Hideo Higashikokubaru is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on September 16, 1957 in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. Hideo Higashikokubaru, also known as Dong Guo Yuan Ying Fu, Higashikokubaru Hideo (born September 16, 1957), is a Japanese politician. His fame began as an actor and comedian under the stage name Sonomanma Higashi, which means “Higashi without changes” or “simply Higashi” and was best known for his role on the game show Takeshi’s Castle.

A manager of an image club, a type of brothel, was arrested on October 13, 1998 for using underage girls. Higashi was identified by a 16-year-old employee who pointed him out as one her customers. Although he was repeatedly interrogated by police, he was not charged as he claimed that he didn’t know the girl was younger than 18. His wife apologized to him on behalf of the Japanese public through the media and he took a voluntary five-month break from his entertainment career.

On November 22, 1999, at a year-end-party held for Takeshi Kitano office employees, he kicked another participant in the head, injuring him. He was prosecuted for this, and fined, after which he again took a voluntary leave from his entertainment activity.

On January 21, 2007, Higashi was elected governor of Miyazaki Prefecture, replacing former governor Tadahiro Ando, who resigned after being arrested for bid rigging. He used his official name (Hideo Higashikokubaru) as governor of Miyazaki.

Higashikokubaru has run several marathons and is an active runner. In June 1995, Higashikokubaru ran the Lake Saroma 100km (62 mi), ultra-marathon in 13 minutes. He has also run three times the Okinawa Marathon and Gold Coast Marathon. He played handball at high school, and participated in the National Sports Festival of Japan 1975.

Higashikokubaru was a Miyakonojo native and attended Senshu University between 1976 and 1980. He majored economics. After graduating from Senshu University, Higashikokubaru became a comedian by becoming an apprentice to Takeshi Kitano.

Higashi, along with other members of Takeshi kitano’s group, were among those arrested at Friday magazine’s offices on December 9, 1986. They had been protesting a negative article that the magazine published about Takeshi Kitano. All of the attackers were sentenced for six months, with a two-year suspension.

Higashikokubaru shifted his interest to politics around 1999 after being involved in these publicized incidents. He enrolled in the School of Letters, Arts and Sciences II at Waseda University in 2000, and graduated in March 2004, re-entering as a politics and economics student in April 2004. He divorced from his wife in February 2006 and dropped out of Waseda in March 2006.
