Hazwan Hamzah is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on September 9, 1991 in Brunei. Hazwan bin Hazah, a Bruneian international soccer player, was born 9 September 1991. He plays as a defender at DPMM FC in the Singapore Premier League. He was previously a player for Rimba Star FC, Indera SC and was part the Brunei Under-21 winning team that won 2012 Hassanal Bolkiah trophy.

Hazwan also made two appearances in friendlies against Singapore, Cambodia and the Philippines later in the year. Although he was selected for the 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup in Malaysia, he did not make it to the final squad.

Hazwan was part of the Brunei squad to face Timor-Leste for the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup qualification. He started the first leg held in Kuala Lumpur on 1 September in a 3–1 loss. Seven days later in Bandar Seri Begawan, he was a late substitute for Helmi Zambin in the second leg, the match finished 1–0 to the Wasps. Brunei ultimately failed to qualify for the Suzuki Cup, losing 2–3 on aggregate.

Hazwan made his full international debut at the 2018 World Cup qualifying First Round for AFC against Chinese Taipei at Kaohsiung, as a second-half substitute for Shahrazen Said. Brunei took home a 1-0 result courtesy of an Adi Said goal in the 36th minute. Hazwan started the second leg in place of Azwan Ali Rahman at home ground Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium to protect the advantage but a 0-2 reverse meant that Brunei was knocked out of the 2018 World Cup.

Hazwan left the national team in 2014. He joined Indera SC, a local powerhouse in the Brunei Super League. Indera SC won his first championship. After a brief trial, he stayed with Indera and joined Brunei’s only professional club, DPMM FC.

Hazwan was an ex-student at Brunei’s Sports School. Hazwan started league football in 2011 with Rimba Star FC. He was also made captain of the club in Kampong Rimba.
