Workman said that he was “just beginning” to find his voice in 1998. He recorded in the front door of a friend’s studio. Then he moved his studio to the basement of a dear friend’s grandmother on Hillsdale Avenue. This basement was where Workman recorded his first albums, For Him and the Girls, and (Last Night We Were] The Delicious Wolves.
